Northeast Creek Park (910 Corbin Road, Jacksonville) has no standing water, so it's one of the safer options for younger kids, with elements that activate at the push of a button. It sits right next to the inclusive playground.
Shevans Park (1501 Evans Street, Morehead City) is a two-acre downtown park with restrooms, grills, and tennis courts if you want to make a full afternoon of it.
Swansboro Municipal Park (830 Main Street Ext, Swansboro) pairs a modern playground with open grassy space and a covered pavilion for picnics.
Atlantic Beach Town Park rounds things out with an 18-hole mini golf course, a skate park, and a seasonal concession stand.
