Holly Ridge Municipal Park
Description
Holly Ridge Municipal Park is the town's main park, located at 417 Kraft Street. It features a playground with slides and swings, a baseball field, picnic tables, and public restrooms, along with walking paths and benches. The entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible, and dogs are permitted on leash.
The park hosts community events throughout the year, including the town's Liberty Festival, and its athletic fields can be reserved through the Holly Ridge Parks and Recreation Department. In 2024, the town council announced plans to expand the park with a splash pad, dog park, additional walking trails, a recreation center, new bathrooms, a picnic pavilion, an upgraded playground, and pickleball courts — families should check with the town for current construction status before visiting.
The park is open daily and sits within Holly Ridge, a small Onslow County town between Jacksonville and Topsail Island. It offers a straightforward stop for local families needing a playground, ball field, or picnic spot rather than a large regional attraction.
