Welcome to the first issue of the PlayventureGuide zine! Each month we'll round up a few parks worth the drive, the family events happening around Onslow County, and something fun to do together along the way. This month, it's a scavenger hunt.
Three Parks Worth the Trip
Wilson Bay Park (5 W Bayshore Blvd, Jacksonville) sits right along the New River waterfront, with a playground, a picnic shelter, and a boardwalk that stretches out over the water - a good spot for both playtime and a quiet walk.
Sturgeon City Park (110 Loyola Dr, Jacksonville) pairs a playground with hands-on environmental exhibits and walking trails, so there's plenty to explore beyond the swings.
Discovery Gardens (4024 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville) is Onslow County's educational green space - garden beds, local plant displays, and hands-on activities that make it an easy stop for curious kids.

Print Your Scavenger Hunt
This issue comes with a photo scavenger hunt: snap a picture of someone jumping in the air, someone holding up a tree, someone trying to hide, a reflection in water, and a shadow shaped like an animal. Grab the print-ready PDF below to bring it along on your next park trip.
