Friends Holiday Flotilla

Event Description

Brilliantly decorated boats, yachts, sailboats, commercial vessels, and kayaks glow with holiday lights as they travel from the Morehead City waterfront, around Radio Island, and into Beaufort's Taylor's Creek. Families can watch the illuminated fleet pass along Beaufort's Front Street, with the flotilla expected to arrive around 6:30 PM; the Morehead City pass begins about 5:30 PM, and route and times are approximate. Watching from the public waterfront areas in Beaufort and Morehead City is free. The Friends of the North Carolina Maritime Museum host this Crystal Coast holiday tradition.
