Penderlea Community Park

Description

Penderlea Community Park occupies the former Penderlea School site in Willard, in western Pender County, blending athletic, cultural, and educational spaces. The park includes the historic Penderlea Gym, the historic Penderlea Auditorium with 782 fixed seats, three classrooms, a playground, a picnic shelter, open recreation space, and restrooms. The mix of indoor and outdoor facilities makes it usable year-round for sports, community programs, and events. It fills one of the largest inland gaps in the county's family-attraction map.
