Newport Community Park

Description

Newport Community Park is an approximately 10-acre town park on Howard Boulevard beside Newport Town Hall and Newport Library. Its mix of playground equipment, open lawn, shaded areas, gathering spaces, and sports facilities gives families several activities in one location. The park includes basketball courts, a Little League field, a batting cage, and natural wooded areas.

A small lighted pavilion provides covered space and two public restrooms, while a larger lighted pavilion accommodates community gatherings. The park also has a community building near the ballfield and basketball court. The pavilions and community building can be reserved on a first-come basis, and some reservations require a fee. Newport also uses the park for community programs and seasonal events.
