Morehead City Recreation Center

Description

The Morehead City Recreation Center on Fisher Street is an indoor-and-outdoor family recreation hub run by the city. Indoors it has a gymnasium with a maple floor for open-play basketball, pickleball, and volleyball, plus a cardio room and weight rooms (weight equipment has a minimum age of 16). Outdoors the site adds a playground, a multipurpose field, a basketball court, a picnic shelter, a walking loop, and a fishing pier. The gym hosts youth basketball, youth volleyball leagues, volleyball camps, and summer camp programs. The center provides pickleball equipment, basketballs, and volleyballs. Day use and membership options are available, with family rates for 2026. It is one of Morehead City's few indoor family destinations.
