Millers Pond Park
Description
Millers Pond Park spans 31 acres in Rocky Point and is managed by Pender County Parks and Recreation. At the center of the park is a seven-acre pond encircled by a half-mile nature trail — a short, accessible loop that works well for young children and strollers. Families can fish from a dedicated fishing pier that extends over the pond, launch canoes and kayaks from the on-site launch point, and take in the surroundings from a wildlife observation deck. A playground and covered picnic shelter make it a practical spot for longer outings, and restrooms are available on site. The shelter can be reserved through Pender County Parks and Recreation for group events. Parking is gravel and free. The park is one of the more nature-focused options in the county, offering a quiet alternative to the beach and island parks farther east.
