Lynnwood Park Zoo

Description

Lynnwood Park Zoo spans 10 beautifully landscaped acres in Jacksonville, offering visitors a chance to observe and interact with over 80 animal exhibits featuring reptiles, birds, mammals, and more. This veteran-owned and operated sanctuary, which opened in 1990, focuses on connecting the public with wildlife through education, housing many animals that have been rescued, rehabilitated, or relocated from other facilities. Children especially enjoy the hands-on opportunities with some of the friendlier species, like goats and llamas, while all visitors appreciate the leisurely stroll along walkways that weave between exhibits with ample rest stops provided along the way. The zoo's unique character comes from the individual stories behind each animal, making it not just an entertaining outing but an educational experience that highlights the importance of wildlife conservation in a family-friendly environment.
