Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center

Description

The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center offers families guided tours through a working sea turtle hospital where visitors can observe recovering sea turtles and learn about conservation efforts. The center rescues, rehabilitates, and releases sick and injured sea turtles while providing educational opportunities about marine turtle species native to North Carolina waters. Visitors explore Sick Bay where critical patients receive treatment, walk through Turtle Bay where turtles recover before release, and discover the important work of the Topsail Turtle Project that protects nesting females and hatchlings. The facility includes a gift shop featuring turtle-themed merchandise and educational materials.
