Freedom Park

Description

Freedom Park is a 26-acre Carteret County park in Beaufort with space for playground time and organized sports. Families can visit the playground, use the picnic areas and shelter, or play a round of disc golf. The park also has multipurpose athletic fields, lighted soccer fields, a basketball court, restrooms, and parking. The mix of play and sports facilities makes it useful for children of different ages, from a short playground visit to an afternoon on the fields. Carteret County Parks and Recreation holds youth programs at Freedom Park, so families planning a specific activity should check the facility calendar for scheduled use. The county lists the park as available all day, every day. For group gatherings or organized field use, contact Parks and Recreation about reservations and current availability.
