Dees Park
Description
Dees Park is a small green space on Courthouse Avenue in downtown Burgaw. The Town of Burgaw lists picnic tables and a stage for local events. Families can sit outdoors, enjoy a picnic, or attend one of the Town's scheduled programs. Movies in the Park and fall concerts have been held here; check the Town's calendar for current dates and times. For movie nights, the Town encourages visitors to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and snacks. The park can also be reserved through the Town's recreation registration site. Nov 20Bring the family to Dees Park for a free outdoor showing of Toy Story 5, rated PG. Pack blankets, chairs, and snacks for the evening; concessions and glow items will also be available for purchase from local organizations.
Santa in the Park
Dec 4Celebrate the season at Dees Park with artificial snow, Christmas games, crafts, and a visit with Santa. Families and friends can gather around fire pits, watch a movie, and take part in a gingerbread-house contest. Children can also write letters to Santa during the evening.
