Cool Cats Cafe and Lounge

Description

Cool Cats Cafe and Lounge is a family-owned cat cafe in Jacksonville where visitors spend time with adoptable rescue cats in a cage-free lounge. The cats come from Onslow County Animal Services, and every cat is available for adoption. Guests book a 30-minute or 60-minute session, and appointments start on the half hour. Sessions are open to all ages. Children under 16 must stay with an adult 18 or older inside the lounge, with one supervising adult for every three children. Reservations are the preferred way to secure a spot, and each guest over 12 months old needs their own time slot. Lounge sessions carry an entry fee. Visitors sanitize their hands before entering and again when they leave, and the lounge rules ask for inside voices, no running, no climbing on the furniture and gentle handling of the cats. Some cats will come over on their own, and sitting low on the floor tends to help. Café counter service offers pre-packaged drinks and snacks. The cats in the lounge change as adoptions happen, so the group on any given day varies.
