Carol Sue Farms
Description
Carol Sue Farms is a family-run strawberry and blueberry farm in Hampstead, owned and operated by the Morris family for nearly a decade. In season, families can pick their own berries in the field or buy fresh pre-picked fruit in pint-size containers or flats at the farm stand. All pre-picked berries are freshly picked. U-pick strawberries usually start in mid-April, and blueberry season runs from May into late June or early July. The produce stand also sells local honey, jam, flowers, plants and blueberry bushes, along with custom-made ice cream that includes a blueberry flavor. Later in the year the farm opens again with pumpkins and mums for fall visits. For comfort while picking, bring sunscreen and hats or umbrellas for little ones, and keep picked berries out of direct sun until they can be cooled. The farm closes between berry and fall seasons, so confirm it is open before heading out.
